Terms & conditions
A short set of terms on which we publish this site.
Last updated: May 2026. These terms cover copyright, accuracy, our limits of liability, donations and the law that governs the site.
In short
The content of bashtrust.org belongs to BASH TRUST. You may quote short extracts for non-commercial purposes with attribution. We try to keep the site accurate but cannot guarantee it. Donations are taken voluntarily and are not refundable except in cases of clear error. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
1. Who these terms are between.
These terms govern your use of bashtrust.org (the "site") and any related digital communications you receive from BASH TRUST. They are issued by BASH TRUST, a charity registered in England and Wales under number 220011, whose registered office is at Gray's Inn Tax Chambers, 36 Queen Street, London EC4R 1BN.
2. Copyright and reuse.
Unless otherwise indicated, the text, photography and design of bashtrust.org are © BASH TRUST. You may quote short extracts from the site for non-commercial purposes (research, journalism, teaching) with appropriate attribution. For longer reuse, please write to us first at [email protected]. We will usually say yes to non-commercial requests.
3. Accuracy.
We take care over what we publish. Where we describe a real person — for example, a member of the congregation, a partner organisation, a trustee — we do so in their own words and with their permission, or by reference to the published Charity Commission record. If you spot something inaccurate, please write to us and we will correct it.
4. Links to other sites.
This site contains a small number of links to other websites (for example, the Charity Commission register, the ICO, Jewish Heritage UK, OpenStreetMap). We are not responsible for the content of those sites and the presence of a link does not imply our endorsement of every page on them.
5. Donations.
Donations made through this site are made voluntarily. Once received, donations are not refundable except in cases of clear error (for example, an obvious typing mistake in the amount); in such a case please write to [email protected] within 14 days. The Trust uses donations strictly within the terms of its deed of 1963; it cannot ring-fence a gift to a purpose outside the deed.
6. Limits of liability.
We provide this site on a best-efforts basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BASH TRUST is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or your reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, for personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
7. Changes to these terms.
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will show when they were last changed. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
8. Governing law.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
9. Contact about these terms.
If anything in these terms is unclear, please write to [email protected]. We answer ourselves.
